04 · Spaced Repetition
Spaced Repetition (SRS), AI Rephrasing & AI Tutor
Passive rereading leads to the false illusion of competence. Studdy leverages active recall, an enhanced
SM-2 spaced repetition algorithm, dynamic card rephrasing (so you learn the concept rather than memorizing
sentence wording), and an on-demand AI Tutor for step-by-step explanations.

05 · Diagnostics
Diagnostic Quizzes & Targeted Accuracy Badges
Studdy generates realistic multiple-choice diagnostic tests. Distractor choices are engineered based on
common student misconceptions, teaching you to avoid exam traps.
Targeting: Cellular Respiration · Krebs Cycle
What is the primary electron carrier produced in the highest quantity during one turn of the citric acid
cycle?
Breakdown: NADH is the principal electron carrier generated, yielding 3 molecules per
turn of the cycle (compared to only 1 FADH2 and 1 GTP/ATP).
06 · Readiness Metric
Readiness Score & The 60% Revision Rule
The Readiness gauge gives you an estimate of how well you know a set, based on your
flashcard recall and quiz accuracy. It's a study guide, not a prediction of your exam result — use it to
decide what to review next.

flashcard flips, and live multiplayer quiz battles. Audio is sent device-to-device and Studdy does not

09 · Privacy
Data Privacy & Student Intellectual Property
Your notes and study material belong to you. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Below is
what Studdy actually does with your information. No online service can promise perfect security, but we
use
access controls and encryption to protect your data.
Temporary Processing
Not
Kept
Uploaded files are processed in memory to build your study set. We don't keep the raw file afterward.
The generated cards and quizzes are saved to your account. Your content is securely processed through
our dedicated, zero-retention AI synthesis infrastructure.
No Model Training by Studdy
Our
Policy
Studdy doesn't use your content to train AI models. We use paid API access to our AI provider, whose
terms limit how submitted data can be used. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Account-Scoped Access
Encrypted
Your study sets and scores are stored against your account, and database rules limit access to you.
Data
is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our cloud provider (Google Firebase).
Account Deletion
Your
Choice
Go to Settings → Delete Account at any time to delete your profile, study sets, and scores.
Copies in cloud backups or logs may take some time to expire, and some records may be kept where the
law
requires it.
Cookie & Analytics Consent (GDPR / ePrivacy)
Opt-in

Studdy strictly uses essential storage to keep you securely signed in. Optional analytics (Google
Analytics) only runs after you affirmatively choose "Accept All". If you select "Essential Only",
analytics scripts and cookies are completely blocked and cleared. You can change your choice anytime in
Settings.
10 · Trust & Safety
Age Requirements & Voice Room Safety
When you set up your account, Studdy asks for your age group. This is
self-declared: we don't check ID, and we can't confirm that the age you enter is correct.
We use it to separate voice study rooms by age group so that adults and younger students are kept in
different rooms.
Asking for an age is not the same as verifying it, and it doesn't on its own satisfy child-privacy laws.
The
rules depend on where you live. In the United States, COPPA can require verifiable
parental
consent before collecting personal information from children under 13. In the EU, the age at which a child
can consent to data processing is set by each country (between 13 and 16) under the GDPR.
If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, ask a parent or guardian before using Studdy.
Under 13
Self-Declared
Can only join rooms for the same age group. Teen and adult rooms are hidden and can't be joined. A
parent or guardian should be involved.
13–17
Self-Declared
Can only join rooms for the same age group. Studdy blocks joining adult (18+) rooms based on the age
group you entered.
18+
Self-Declared
For university students and adult learners. Accounts set to 18+ can't join rooms for younger age
groups.
What room
separation
can and can't do
Rooms are separated using the age group each person enters. We don't collect ID documents or biometric
data, so someone could enter a false age. Room separation lowers the risk, but it can't rule it out.
Parents and schools should treat it as one safeguard among several. Never share personal contact details
in a room, and report anything that makes you uncomfortable.
Enforcement: Accounts found entering a false age or behaving inappropriately may
be
suspended or permanently removed.
In-Room Reporting & Safety Desk: Tap the participant options menu inside any
study room to file an immediate report, or email our safety team at support@studdyapp.online. We
aim
to review safety reports within 24 hours.
Terms of Service
Self-Declared Age & Safety Restrictions
4 Binding
Clauses
01
User Age Declaration Account Requirements
By registering an account on Studdy (studdyapp.online), you explicitly
represent and warrant that the age group chosen during onboarding is accurate, truthful, and
reflective
of your true biological age. Studdy operates on a self-declared trust model to protect our student
community and restrict cross-age peer voice room matching.
02
Falsification of Age Metrics
Providing a fraudulent date of birth, select age tier, or intentionally misrepresenting your
demographic
profile to gain entry into restricted Voice Study Rooms (e.g., an adult entering 13–17 rooms, or a
minor
entering university/18+ rooms) constitutes a material breach of these Terms of Service.
03
Monitoring, Rights & Account Termination
Studdy relies strictly on user-initiated reporting desks to flag malicious or misaligned age group
behavior. We reserve the absolute, unilateral right to suspend, terminate, or permanently purge any
account found or reasonably suspected to have inputted a false age metric, without warning or right
to
appeal.
04
Legal Limitations & Safeguards
Because Studdy does not process biometric tracking or legal government identification documents, you
acknowledge and agree that room separation is an operational mitigation tool and not a legally
verified
guarantee of absolute identity safety. Parents, legal guardians, and academic institutions are
strongly
encouraged to oversee device habits and report unauthorized behavior directly to our Safety Desk at
support@studdyapp.online.

2. Choose a sound (optional) using the speaker button. Sounds are generated live
on
your device. Nothing is streamed or downloaded.
3. Press Play. You can pause or reset at any time. Where supported, Studdy asks
your
device to keep the screen awake while the timer runs. When time is up, you'll hear a chime and get a
notification, and the session counts toward your study activity.

research on their effects is mixed. Use whatever helps you.

13 · Planning
Scheduling Lectures & Study Sessions on the Calendar
The monthly calendar on the Progress page shows your study streak. You can also use it to plan
study sessions for upcoming lectures or exams and get a reminder when it's time.
1. Open Progress → Calendar. Use the arrows to change month, then tap today or any
future date. You can't schedule past dates.
2. Enter a topic (for example, the lecture name or "Biology Ch. 4"). If you leave
it
blank, it's saved as "General Study".
3. Pick a time with the clock picker (default 6:00 PM). If you schedule for today,
the time must be later than now.
4. Set a goal, such as "Take practice quiz", then save. The date is marked on the
calendar. Tap it again to edit or delete it.
Getting the reminder: Allow notifications when Studdy asks. The Windows app and the
Android app can remind you even when Studdy isn't open on screen. In a web browser, the Studdy tab
usually
needs to stay open for the reminder to appear.
